Breathwork
What is Breathwork?
Breathwork is the field of study & practice that encompasses a variety of breathing techniques utilised individually & in groups, to cultivate self-awareness & the enhancement of physical, emotional, cognitive, or spiritual well-being.
~ Dr Philippa C R Wheble & Dr Ela Manga, IBF Science & Research Group
Beyond the basic need for survival, humans are unique in our ability to consciously change our breathing. As we grow and learn, we develop habits and patterns of holding or controlling the breath in order to manage our emotions. These habits continue and strengthen, becoming automatic behaviours that then define our interactions in the world. In this way, breathing acts as a bridge between our experience in the physical body, and how we interpret, express and connect with the world around us. Breathwork allows us to identify and understand this bridge between our conscious and subconscious experiences that we have built for ourselves.

Each session will be specifically curated and held by a qualified facilitator. The role of the facilitator is to hold space and support throughout the journey.
A minimum of at least three sessions is recommended as studies have shown that
commitment to new ways of thinking, being, and living, need to be forged and cultivated consistently over time.
